Lyrical
• Leotard and tights. Skirts are optional.
• Suntan jazz shoes.
• Hair must be in a secure ponytail or bun.
Ballet
• Leotard and pink footed tights. Ballet skirts/ballet wrap sweaters are optional.
• Pink ballet shoes.
• Hair must be pulled back in a secure bun.
Jazz
• Leotard/biketard and tights. Dance shorts and fitted shirts are optional.
• Tan jazz shoes.
• Hair must be in a secure ponytail.
Tap
• Leotard and tights, or fitted top with dance shorts or ¾ dance pants.
• Suntan tap shoes with strap (Beginner dancers only)
• Black tie shoes (Intermediate/Advanced dancers only).
• Hair must be pulled back & off the face.
Pointe
• White leotards and pink tights. White tank tops over leotards are optional. White ballet skirts are optional.
• Pointe shoes (pre-pointe students may wear pointe shoes at recommendation of teacher).
• Hair must be in a secure bun.
Boys
• Shorts or pants (no jeans). Pants must not cover the feet.
• Black shorts or pants for ballet.
• Boys tap shoes, black jazz shoes or black ballet shoes.
Gymnastics
• Dancers are to wear a leotard/biketard or dance shorts and a fitted top.
• Bare legs (no tights).
• Bare feet (no shoes).
• Hair must be tied in a secure ponytail or bun.
Combo
• Dancers are to wear a leotard and tights. Skirts are optional.
• Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.
• Dance bag to carry shoes to and from class.
• Hair must be pulled back & off the face.
Hip-hop
• Comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.
• Sweatpants are recommended. No jeans.
• Hip-hop sneakers or clean sneakers (for class only).
• Hair must be pulled back & off the face.
General Studio Policies
• No jewelry
• No gum
• No talking or using cell phones during class
• All dancers should have a dance bag to carry their shoes in. Dance shoes are not permitted to be worn outside.
• All shoes/bags should be labeled with the dancer’s full name. AOD is not responsible for any items left in the studio.
• Dancers should arrive to class 10 minutes early so they are properly dressed in shoes and clothing when class starts.
• Any student who arrives more than 10 minutes after class begins may not be allowed to participate in class and asked to watch on the side.
• Dancers should use the bathroom before the start of class.
• No food or drink is permitted in the dance room.
• No street shoes are permitted in the dance room.
