Katia Beales-Salovitch, a New Jersey native, began dancing at age 11, training at The Southern Strutt and Columbia City Jazz, in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Acro and more. She has competed at major conventions and competitions earning numerous awards and scholarships and has trained with renowned choreographers such as Francisco Gella, Talia Favia and Blake McGrath. Katia has taught a wide range of styles and ages and after high school moved to Nova Scotia to attend Saint Francis Xavier University where she continued dancing and teaching. Now back in New Jersey, she works year-round at summer camp, is pursuing her Masters in Applied Health Services Research focusing on disordered eating with athletes and continues to teach and mentor dancers.
