Ellen Mulvihill

After attending Art of Dance and graduating from high school, Ellen Mulvihill majored in dance performance at Oklahoma City University. In college she was “Pep Director” of a student run and choreographed dance team, and was also the Dance Captain and “Deputy” of the dance company within the program (“American Spirit Dance Company”). In 2015 she performed as an ensemble and featured dancer for Lyric Theater of Oklahoma in their summer stock production of “Oklahoma”. After graduating from college she immediately began working with RWS Entertainment Group and Holland America Line, performing and touring on three different cruise ship contracts internationally. Ellen was appointed assistant dance captain for the first two contracts and promoted to official dance captain for the third tour. Since working with RWS she has learned and performed with aerial silks, both solo and on three different contracts. She began teaching dance during her time at Art of Dance, and has continued teaching and choreographing ever since. When asked about her experience at Art of Dance Ellen has said,”I honestly have so much to thank Valerie for, because I wouldn’t be where I am today without my time and training at Art of Dance!” Ellen returns as a guest teacher regularly and we are so proud to have her as part of the Art of Dance family.

Anna Calamare

Anna Loveys Calamare grew up dancing at the Art of Dance, where her passion for dance first began. Anna went to college at Bucknell University and graduated in May 2013. While attending Bucknell, she was an active member of the Bucknell Dance Company where she performed and choreographed pieces for the company as well as the student showcase series. During her undergraduate study, Anna spent a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, where she participated in African dance classes. Since graduating, Anna has been invited back to Bucknell as a guest artist choreographer. Anna went on to spend two years with Pushing Progress Contemporary Dance in their Contemporary Training Program in New York City. Through this training program, Anna performed in various dance projects and showcases such as J. Chen Project, NYC10 Dance Initiative and the Pushing Progress Showcase Series. Anna spent the past 5 years in Boston, MA as a performing arts faculty member at Noble and Greenough School, a prestigious coed independent school outside of Boston, grades 7-12. Creating art is a passion for Anna; she hopes to inspire others through dance. Anna has been so fortunate to have had exceptional dance teachers and mentors, and it is her hope to pay it forward and to pass her knowledge on to younger generations. Anna moved back to New Jersey to be closer to her family and is thrilled to be teaching at The Art of Dance. It truly feels like a full circle! We are so proud to consider Anna part of our Art of Dance family.
