Joanne Liebenberg is a Professional Performing Artist from South Africa based in New York City. Joanne was just recently the Dance Captain, co-choreographer and performed as a dancer, aerialist and actress in The Thorn, in Colorado. The production was professionally filmed and will be released at AMC and Regal Theatres in 2023 across U.S.A. Joanne has just completed a danced and performed for audiences around the world with Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines for two contracts. Joanne studied Performance Arts through Trinity College London. She graduated from the Waterfront Theatre College Cape Town South Africa, in 1 year having studied Dance and Musical Theatre. She obtained 100% for Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Advanced 2 Modern Performance Diploma and was also the Top Achiever for her Association of International Dance Teachers Performance Diploma. She completed a Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center NYC and performed at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater. Joanne was the Lead Dancer in the show ’Another Day’ at the Kalk Bay Theatre in South Africa after being headhunted by Followspot Productions back when she was performing as a soloist with the Waterfront Theatre Company. Joanne has been invited to dance companies and studios all over South Africa as a Choreographer, Performer and Dance Instructor for Open Classes, Workshops, Shows and Competitions. She has represented her country in the World Championships for 5 consecutive years in Jazz, Modern, Ballet and Showdance winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for her country. She has danced on South African TV for SABC’s Expresso, Top Billing and Multichoice as well as appeared as a dance soloist in music videos for Momentum, SXEEPS ft. Nathan Ro, Born To Perform and Sergent Fu band. Joanne is also a certified Yoga Instructor and currently teaches Hot Yoga and Yoga Sculpt at Corepower Yoga NYC. She is also certified Nutritionist and qualified PADI scuba diver. Joanne is a passionate and life loving artist who cannot wait to see where her future in the performing industry will take her next.
